Multiple Facilities Indoor Air Quality Evaluations & Upgrades
The focus of the initial project was to conduct a thorough assessment of existing conditions in facilities, specifically identifying deficiencies in building systems that contribute to poor indoor air quality (IAQ). The investigation revealed HVAC shortcomings such as inoperable air dampers, outdated or malfunctioning control systems, aging equipment, and improper design or installation practices. These findings were crucial in developing a budget for the subsequent IAQ Upgrades project.

The IAQ Upgrades project, a design/build initiative, aimed to address these issues by modifying, repairing, and replacing HVAC systems and controls. Key enhancements included integrating air scrubber technology to combat viruses, bacteria, and mold effectively. The design and execution plan were meticulously derived from insights gathered during the earlier IAQ Evaluation phase, ensuring comprehensive improvement in indoor air quality and operational efficiency across the facilities.
